Subject: Recommendation for Employee Absenteeism

Suzette:

As you requested, I am submitting my recommendations for dealing with your employee. The first problem that we have we this issue is that it shows insubordination. The second problem is that it affects work performance.

Inform New Employees Of Attendance Policies:

You should establish expectations during the first initial interview with an applicant. If your employees are going to be absent they should give you a 24 hour notice if possible. Let them know that there is a point system for being absent. You should come up with this system and put a memorandum out to all of your employees.

Maintain A Written Log:

I suggest that it is very important that you keep the log on your people being absent. When or if there comes a time when we have to punish the person we have information as a record. Also another great thing about that is it shows how much one person can effect a company.
I hope that these suggestions are helpful to you. If you need any further information I am here to help you.

  1. I like your informative information regarding the situation. However, in my opinion, I would be more assertive in the way I talk. For instance, You said "I think". That one sentence can drop the I think to be more assertive. It is not necessary to put "I mean" in there too. Just describing it in itself is telling them audience of what you mean.
